تعدد الزوجات شيء شرعه الله لعباده مع القدرة، وفيه مصالح كثيرة للزوجين للرجال، والنساء جميعًا:

منها: أن الرجل قد لا تعفه المرأة الواحدة، قد يكون كثير الشهوة، شديد الشهوة، فلا تعفه الواحدة، ولا تعفه الاثنتان، ولا تعفه الثلاث، فجعل الله له طريقًا إلى إعفاف نفسه بالطريق الحلال، من طريق أربع من النساء.

ومن ذلك أيضًا: ما في التمتع بالأربع من قضاء الوطر، وطيب النفس، والبعد عن الفواحش، فإن هذا يعينه على غض بصره، وبعده عما حرم الله .

ومن ذلك أيضًا: إعفاف الناس؛ فإنه ليس كل امرأة تجد رجلًا وحده، قد يكون الرجال أقل من النساء، ولا سيما عند الحروب، ولاسيما في آخر الزمان كما أخبر به النبي -عليه الصلاة والسلام- فمن رحمة الله أن يكون للرجل أربع؛ حتى يعف أربعًا، وينفق على أربع، ففي هذا مصالح لجنس النساء أيضًا، فإن وجود ربع زوج خير لها من عدم زوج بالكلية، يكون لها الربع، أو الثلث، أو النصف يكون خيرًا لها من العدم، ففي ذلك إعفافها، وفي ذلك أيضًا الإنفاق عليها، وصيانتها، والحياطة دونها.

ومن المصالح -أيضًا- الكثيرة: الأولاد، وجود الأولاد، وكثرة النسل، وتكثير الأمة؛ لأن الرسول ﷺ قال: تزوجوا الودود الولود؛ فإني مكاثر بكم الأمم يوم القيامة وفي لفظ الأنبياء يوم القيامة فوجود النسل، وكثرة الأولاد في هذه الأمة أمر مطلوب مقصود.

وفي ذلك أيضًا من المصالح الأخرى أن في تزوج الإنسان من هنا، ومن هنا، ومن هنا، وجود الترابط بين الأسر، والتعاون، والتحاب، والتآلف؛ فيكثر الترابط بين المجتمع، والتعاون بين الإنسان مع أنسابه، وأصهاره في الغالب، يتعاون معهم، ويكون بينهم صلة مودة، وترابط، يعين على أمور الدين والدنيا جميعًا.

وقد بينا أن هذا من الحكمة، تزوج النبي ﷺ من عدة قبائل؛ حتى يكون يقصد بذلك انتشار الإسلام بينهم، وتعاونهم مع المسلمين، وتأليف قلوبهم على الإسلام بسبب مصاهرته للنبي -عليه الصلاة والسلام- والله -جل وعلا- قال: فَانْكِحُوا مَا طَابَ لَكُمْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ مَثْنَى وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ [النساء:3] فهذا كله فيه مصالح للجميع، مصالح للجنسين، للرجال والنساء، وتكثير الأمة، وعفة الفروج، وغض الأبصار، والإعانة على الإنفاق على النساء المحتاجات، إلى النفقة، والتقارب بين الأسر، والترابط بين الأسر، والتحاب بين الجميع، فالمصالح كثيرة كما سمعتم بعضها.

والواجب على النساء الصبر على الجارة، والضرة، يجب على المرأة التي تؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر أن تصبر، وأن تعلم أن هذا حق للزوج، وأنه لا يجوز لها فعل ما لا ينبغي عند وجود زوجة ثانية -ما دام يعدل ويؤدي الحق- فعليها أن تصبر، ولا يجوز لها أن تنفر، أو تطالب بالطلاق، هذا لا يجوز لها ما دام الزوج قد أدى الحق الذي عليه، قد قسم بعدل، وأنفق بعدل، فليس لها حق أن تنازع، أو تطالب بالفراق، أو تؤذيه حتى يفارق، ينبغي أن توجه، وتعلم، وترشد، وتتزود بما ينبغي حتى تكون على بصيرة بشرع الله في هذا الأمر.
